Manual first, but not random
For our earliest teams, we still do a lot by hand. We help import feedback, clean up categories, and sit in on the first review. It is slow in the best possible way.
The temptation is to automate every repeated step immediately. We are trying to wait until the pattern is boring. If we automate too early, we risk preserving our own misunderstanding in the product.
Concierge onboarding has shown us which parts feel magical and which parts feel like homework. That distinction matters. The goal is not to remove humans from the loop. It is to remove the parts that make humans avoid the loop.
Every manual workflow we repeat three times becomes a candidate for the product. Every workflow that changes each time becomes more research.
